J. P. Doremus
J. P. Doremus (1827-1890) was noted for the Doremus Views of the Mississippi and its Tributaries series of stereoviews. He operated the “Doremus Photograph Gallery” on a barge that could be towed behind a paddle steamer.
Collections of his work are held at the George Eastman House and New York Public Library.
The Doremus boat we've shown, the Flora, was taken in Louisiana
