The town of Walton, Boone county, was visited by another destructive fire on the morning of the 4th. About 10 o’clock, while the inhabitants of that place were enjoying a pic-nic, about 400 yards from the town, fire was discovered in the carriage factory of T. H. Rice, which, together with a stock worth $1,000, a totally destroyed.  The dwelling of Mr. Burns, a butcher, adjoining on the west, was also burned, and the Boone hotel, on the east side, caught fire, and narrowly escaped destruction.  The total loss will foot up to about $2,000, mostly covered by insurance.
