Burlington
Came Near Setting the Town on fire
Period of Excitement at Burlington, Caused by
Cruel Act of Thoughtless Youngsters
Burlington, Ky., April 4. -Burlington had a close call from destruction by fire. Flutterbuck Bros., who conduct a general store, sent three boys to their gasoline house for some gasoline. The boys caught a big rooster, saturated it with gasoline, and set it on fire. It ran under houses and barns and several caught fire, and were destroyed.
It was only by hard work that the town was saved by destruction.
