Gold
A special from Aurora, Ind., says : Dr. George Sutton, of this place, read before the American Association for the Advancement of Science, in Cincinnati, in 1881, a paper claiming that in the highlands of Boone county, Ky., and in southeastern Indiana, gold would be found in considerable quantities. Recently the scientific societies of Chicago and Cleveland sent Professors Lewis and Kedge to investigate Dr. Sutton's theory. During the past week they carefully searched, and have verified the truth of the statement. In one excavation, six by five feet and two feet deep, Dr. Sutton found 88 worth of gold.
