Florence Gets First Phone Booth
Florence now has its first outside phone booth. In fact, not one, but two.
During the first part of this week workers of the Consolidated Telephone Company have installed outside booths in front of the fire house and in front of the Florence Motel.
According to Consolidated's General Manager, Bud Foscue, the two booths represent an expenditure of about $2,000, or $1,000 each.
Mr. Doscue told a NEWS reporter that this installation was only a minute part of the improved services the company is putting into operation for the convenience of local patrons.
