Heavy Flow

Of Natural Gas Struck at Walton, Ky., on the Snider Co.'s Property

Walton, Ky., April 23 - A heavy flow of natural gas was struck Thursday on the property of T. A. Snider Co., of Cincinnati, at Walton, Ky.  The firm recently purchased eight acres of ground here and began the erection of a canning plant.  To obtain the necessary supply of water, workmen were engaged to bore an artesian well.  Thursday morning at a depth of 400 feet gas was reached.

A flame 20 feet high was produced from the gas flow.  The country, for considerable distance around, was illuminated and residents in the vicinity were greatly excited over its discovery.
