Big Wild Hog

A Posse Ran it Down and Succeeded in Killing It.

Petersburg, Ky., Nov. 27. - For several months a big and desperate wild hog has been terrorizing the inhabitants in the vicinity of Splitrock, three miles below here on the Ohio river. Women have been afraid to visit, and school children had to be kept home on account of the depredations of the monster.  A posse of men was organized armed with Winchesters, and found the hog in the woods of Col. G. R. Berkshire's farm.
