Life Saved; Slays Rescuer
Kentucky Man, Angry at Aged Citizen for Deed, Shoots Him, Then Escapes
Taylorsport, Ky., Aug. 24. - Within a sort time after he had saved Lewis Phillips from drowning, William Zurelbry,one of the oldest citizens of Taylorsport, was shot and killed by the man whom he had rescued last night. Shortly after the rescue, it is said, Philips entered the home of Zurelbry with a rifle. He asked Zurelbry if he was the man who saved him, and, being answered in the affirmative, aimed the weapon and shot the old man through the heart. Phillips then made his escape across the river.
