John Buerger
The business if this firm has been built up by the strict attention and straightforward methods. Mr. Buerger understands the details of his business thoroughly and deals only in the best articles of his trade. He is a roofer, tinner, and stove man, dealing in roofing, spouting, tin wear of all kinds.
Mr. Buerger was born in Cincinnati in 1855 and was educated in the public schools of that city. He came to Augusta in 1878 and commenced work with A. N. Myers in the stove and tinwear business. He continued to work as tinner in this business for three years, when he purchased the business of his employer.
Mr. Buerger was a member of the city council for four years, also City Clerk for two years, and is at present time a member of the school board. He is also a member of the Knights of Pythias.
