John Cablish & Sons

One of the substantial business firms of Augusta is that of John Cablish & Sons.  This firm was established in Augusta in 1873 by the senior member of the firm, Mr. John  Cablish.  Mr. Cablish is Prussian by birth, born in 1840, and coming to America is 1844.  For years he carried on a successful business manufacturing confectioner, baker, and jobber in candies, fruits, nuts, and fancy groceries, in the city of Maysville, Kentucky.

The firm now consists of John Cablish & Sons, and they enjoy the confidence and patronage of citizens of this community.  They handle cigars and tobacco in addition to their manufacturing confectionary business.  They are also wholesale and retail dealers in ice.  Their goods are the finest qualities, and the best materials are used in their manufacture.
