Dr. J. L. Yelton
Dr. Yelton was born in Pendleton County, Kentucky in 1873. He attended the public schools until he was 16 years of age, when he went to the Lebanon School for one year. He then taught school for one term, and afterward attending the State College at Lexington, Kentucky. Having decided to adopt the practice of medicine as his profession, he entered the Hospital College of Louisville, from which institution he graduated. He came to Augusta in 1897 and opened an office for the practice of his profession. Dr. Yelton is a man of pleasant address, which alone will win him many friends. In addition to this he is a man of bright intellect, and is possessed of more than ordinary ability, and undoubtedly he has a bright future before him. He is a member of the Christian Church.
