Dr. C. B. Schoolfield
Dr. C. B. Schoolfield was born in Foster, Ky., March 6, 1846. The family traced back to the widow Schoolfield, who in 1862 cam to Maryland from England. Dr. Schoolfield received an academical education at Foster and Falmouth. He attended the Ohio Medical College and graduated in 1873, coming at once to Dayton, and entering upon what would become a large practice. He is a member of the Cincinnati Society of Medicine, the Cincinnati Obstetrical Society, the Ohio State Medical Association, the American Medical Association, practitioner of gynecology in the Good Samaritan Hospital, and trustee of the Speers Memorial Hospital. In 1868, Dr. Schoolfield married Miss Florence Holms of Newport, who died in 1889 leaving him three children. In 1892 he married Mrs. Ida Lee Arthur, a daughter of J. M. McArthur, who died in 1894. Of the children, George Schoolfield is practicing physician in Charleston, W. Va. [Residence and office at 631 Sixth Avenue]
