Thomas J. Cameron
Thomas J. Cameron came to Dayton in 1877, and for many years was a contracting carpenter, building some of the best houses in the city - fourteen in one year. During the great Ohio Valley flood of 1884, he served as flood commissioner. He has also served a term in the assessors office, but as a rule has kept aloof from political office. He is fond of home and family.
The GAR (a short history of the organization is at this site) held it's annual encampment in Dayton in September,1898. All of the Dayton images and texts dated 1898 are from the souvenir booklet prepared for the occasion.
