Clarence J. Johns
Clarence J. Johns was born in Philadelphia in 1851, and was reared in that city till he was sixteen years old, attending the public schools. Then he went to Reading, Pa., to Cincinnati in 1873, to Salt Lake City in 1875, and from there back to Reading. At that place, in 1878, he married Miss Ida Eagle, by whom he has one son. He came to Dayton in 1881, and three years afterward built his present residence, shown here. Mr. Johns has long been established in the book and job printing business, as senior partner in the firm of Johns, Brumback & Co., 322 Main street, Cincinnati. He hs membership in many societies and orders, but has kept aloof from public office, devoted especially to his friends and his business, where he finds happiness and prosperity.
