Charles Heidrick
One of the solid citizens of Dayton is Charles Heidrick, a successful businessman in Cincinnati, but thoroughly identified with the prosperity and welfare of Dayton. He has been a resident for forty-five years. He has served a term in council, when he was instrumental in forwarding important street improvements. He has since been solicited to stand for public office, but does not consent. He lives in the pretty place on Terrance Avenue here shown - a residence which he built for himself after his own ideas. He is an active and influential member of society.
The GAR (a short history of the organization is at this site) held it's annual encampment in Dayton in September,1898. All of the Dayton images and texts dated 1898 are from the souvenir booklet prepared for the occasion.
