Laurie J. Quinby

Mr. Quinby was born in Covington, Ky., December 8, 1868, but has been a resident of Dayton, Ky., nearly all his life, the schools of which city laid the foundation of his education. He was married six years ago to Miss Cora A. Klinkinbeard, and now a little daughter contributes to a happy home.  Mr. Quinby wields a facile pen and is a forcible and graceful speaker.  He is an appointed lecturer for the National Direct Legislation League of America. The GAR (a short history of the organization is at this site) held it's annual encampment in Dayton in September,1898.  All of the Dayton images and texts dated 1898 are from the souvenir booklet prepared for the occasion.
