Henry Meckstroth
One of the popular places of trade is the store of Henry Meckstroth, 724 Sixth avenue, shown in the picture on this page. Mr. Meckstroth was in business farther up town for a while, and moved to his present location a comparatively short time ago. Furnishings, dry goods, etc., are here in abundance, and a long line of customers find the conveniences of the store.
The GAR (a short history of the organization is at this site) held it's annual encampment in Dayton in September,1898. All of the Dayton images and texts dated 1898 are from the souvenir booklet prepared for the occasion.
