A Little Post Card Trivia

www.nkyviews.com

Some of the best looking postcards ever on the market, in this website's proprietor's humble opinion, were made by Albert Kraemer and his Kraemer Art Company of Cincinnati, Ohio. These two cards are both from his “Kentucky Special Series Art Cards”, from 1908, and are numbers #1444 (the Fort) and #1441 (the Midway). But if you ever wonder how they happen to always take those pictures on those days when the clouds are big, white, and fluffy, take a good look at the cloud patterns on these two cards. And notice that in 1908, somebody was touching up the images, because while the Midway image looks south, the barracks picture is looking west.  Thought “photoshopping” was a new thing, did you?
