Indiana Gazetter, April 12, 1806. Keep in mind Campbell County covered a lot more territory in 1806. Also, a lot of letters that look like an “f” but need to be an “s” are actually a now obsolete English character called a long “s,” or a medial (Wikipedia). And note they spell Newport with a space: New Port.
