Seizure of Contraband

Deputy Surgeon Ed Mariani of this city, seized a package of two thousand percussion caps a few days ago, which were being smuggled across the river in a lot of dried apples.  The caps belonged to Mr. Upton Clary, who kept a store in the neighborhood of Alexandria, Ky., and who has heretofore been looked upon as a sound Union man.
