frill
The founding of this prosperous business dates from 1877, when it was established by Moore and Steelman, who after a period of ten years dissolved partnership.  Mr. Samuel Steelman continuing the operation in connection with Mr. Ferd. Wagner under the present name and style.  The premises are very spacious and commodious.  The stock, which is full and complete in all departments, embraces absolutely pure and fresh goods.  Everything sold at this establishment is of the best quality, while prices are the very lowest.  IT should be said that Messrs. Steelman & Wager also make a specialty of sugar-cured hams, bacon, etc. and smoked and salt meats and fish, which they always have the best of.  Mr. Steelman is a native of Indiana and Mr. Wagner is a Kentuckian.  They are very popular as merchants and as citizens, enjoying the confidence of all having dealings with their house. Competent clerks are employed and all purchases are sent home promptly, two delivery wagons owned by the firm being used expressly for this purpose.
