Fine Arabian Mare

Accompanied by Fair Owner, Reaches End of Long Journey

Mrs. J. C. Leonard, wife of Lieutenant J. C. Leonard, of the United States navy, who has traveled nearly all the way from San Francisco in a baggage car, accompanied by a full-blooded Arabian mare, reached [Cincinnati] yesterday.  Mrs. Leonard has traveled all the way from Arabia, through Shanghai, en route to her home in English, Ky., with the magnificent Arabian specimen for which she paid several hundreds of dollars in Arabia.  The mare is full-blooded, and is being brought to Kentucky for breeding purposes.  It has cost her $500 to bring the animal from San Francisco, and several hundreddollars for passage and transportation in the countries across the water.
