A Steamer Reception
From Ghent, Ky., there was a happy bridal party to New Orleans and back, on board the New Mary Houston, on her last trip. In consisted of Mr. Charles A. Wise, one of the stanchest and most worth young men of Carroll County; his bride, Miss Mary E. Tandy, a charming and beautiful daughter of an old and aristocratic Kentucky family, and her accomplished sister, Miss Margaret M. Tandy, all gracefully chaperoned by the young ladies aunt, Mrs. Maggie B. Tandy. The part was full of jolly life and spirits, and the journey was a never-ceasing round of enjoyment in the Crescent City.
