Bailey and Rowett
Successors to H. T. Chambers, young Men of Enterprise, Push, and Ability; Well-Qualified, Thoroughly Experienced Gentlemen.
The drug trade in Warsaw has long been one of her prominent interests, and the old Chambers’ store has long been noted for its enterprise in supplying the best goods and the largest variety, in this connection, it is gratifying to the Independent to be able to say to its readers that the name of the new firm of Bailey & Rowlett are proving themselves to be worth successors of the honored H. T. Chambers. These gentlemen, though but young in years, are each qualified for the careful deliberate tasks which they are called upon to perform. They are both Kentucky boys and formerly lived in Pleasureville, Henry county. Mr. H. K. Bailey, who gives his entire time to the business, has had considerable experience in the drug business. He is a careful, competent prescriptionist, painstaking and accurate, and persons taking prescriptions to this old reliable drug house can always rely upon getting them filled with the very best, freshest, and purest drugs; substitution is never resorted to, with the result that the people are already recognizing the honesty and care attending to his prescription work. Dr. H. S. Rowlett is a practicing physician, a graduate of the Louisville Medical college, has been an active practitioner for four years and is already recognized as among the leading physicians of Warsaw. The popular drug house is well stocked with everything in the way of drugs, patent medicines, all the most reliable compounds, druggists’ sundries, etc. Toilet articles, perfumery and like are also largely dealt in. The assortment being full, choice, and of the best. In the way of paints, oils, and varnish, their stock is exceedingly full, fine, and well-selected. They carry an elegant stock of jewelry, cutlery, guns, and hunters’ supplies, as well as stationary, blank books and many other articles to be had only in a first-class drug store. In fact, this is one of Warsaw’s most worthy mercantile houses, and all goods carried here are of good quality, while the firm make it a point never to misrepresent an article of goods in order to make a sale. Thus it is that our people realize that when they want good goods, just what they call for at reasonable price, together with the kind of treatment and honest dealing, there is no place like Bailey & Rowlett’s popular drug house. If you have not already done so, go in and give them a call, get acquainted and take our word for it you will be treated in the most agreeable manner. Location in the old Chambers’ stand.
