Everett E. Winn
Ex-Sheriff of Gallatin County and an Experienced School Teacher When it comes to important persons of Gallatin County, our list would not be complete without mention of the young men who have by their own efforts builded up a standing in this community. Foremost of this class, none are more esteemed by the people than our ex-sheriff Winn, who was born and reared on a farm near Warsaw. He was of a literary turn of mind and completed the course at the Patriot High School, then attended the college at Georgetown, and later graduated at the Lebanon (Ohio) University at the age of twenty-two. He taught school two terms, and, though very successful, gave up that work to accept the office of County Sheriff, which he filled with distinction and credit, though the youngest sheriff in the state.
