Who's in the Picture?
Taken on Riverside Drive in Warsaw Kentucky. The house in the background belonged to Sam Hill in the 1950s.
Sam Hill owned Hill's Gravel Pit which was located behind and a little east of the high school. The third man from the left in the picture is William "Bill" Hill. Bill Hill owned Hill's Nursery. The fifth man from the left is Thomas Lee Hill. Tom owned a trucking company and delivered coal and ice to the area. Sam was Tom Hill's son. Tom's home is just off to the right of the picture. The second man from the right is Leonard Bradley. Leonard operated the first Warsaw Theater and managed the water works. The first man on the right is Jeff Webb. I am not sure of this but I think the man standing is Doctor E. C. Threlkeld.
For your information here is how the identities were determined:
Claude Bogardus identified Leonard Bradley as a person he knew.
Lois Hill identified Bill Hill as her uncle and Tom as her grandfather.
Susan Melinda Hill identified Tom Hill as her grandfather.
David Webb identified Jeff Webb as his uncle.
Thanks to David Webb for this information
