Warsaw Gun Club, c. 1882
These are members of the Warsaw Gun Club, which was organized around 1882. The pictures is several years later, as a caption in a later newspaper reprint laments only three of the men in the picture are still alive (Chambers, Wallace & Hobbs).
The large target in the back of the men exhibits the result of a rifle shot across the Ohio River, the target having been place on the Indiana side of the river.
The men, from right to left: Frank B. Kirby, J. Blair "Granny" Summons, Jim Chambers, Jim Wallace, H. T. Chanbers, Dick "Lundy" Weldon, Harry Clore (town marshal), Tom Hobbs, Gus Stewart (murdered in Florence, Indiana, by Pete Cooper), and Billy Lantz.
