Town Marshal's Deed
Warsaw, Ky., July 9 - James Claxton, town marshal of Warsaw, attempted to shoot his wife, but her brother, Mat Webb, knocked the weapon up and Claxon was shot through the left arm near the shoulder. Claxton was recently divorced from his former wife, Miss Sipple of Elliston Station, and had just married Miss Nannie Webb of this place. He forbade her to visit her parents, and she did so, which led to the trouble. Claxton has resigned as town marshal. The wound is his arm is very severe, and may give him serious trouble.
