Fire of unknown origin caused a property loss of $15,000 at Downingsville Tuesday night when the store building stock of goods and two residences of Perry McComas were consumed.  The fire is believed to have started in the polling place of the building known as the Salyers building.  It spread rapidly to the adjoining buildings.  Mr. McComas conducted a general store at Downingsville and carried a stock of general merchandise, valued at several thousand dollars.  Fire insurance agents of this place carried insurance on the buildings and the stock of goods.
