Hanged, But Not Dead
Williamstown, Ky., May 6. - News has just been reached here of the hanging of Dr. Ferrell at Elliston, Ky., Monday night by a mob. Ferrell had the reputation of a wife beater. He came home drunk Monday and proceeded to whip his wife. that night a mob was organized and strung him up to a limb. He was discovered later by some boys and cut down before his life was extinct. It is thought he will recover.
