Green Acres Dairy

Green Acres Dairy was located at the present location of Walmart in Dry Ridge, Ky. Nadine's mother and father-in-law, E.J. and Edna Blackburn operated this dairy in the 1940s and 1950s where they raised a prize-winning dairy herd and produced milk, butter, cottage cheese, and eggnog during Christmas time. Nadine's husband, John J. Blackburn, delivered dairy products to schools in Grant County and in the surrounding areas. After running a successful dairy, E.J. raised black Angus beef cattle.
