Jacob Sandusky Remembers Williamstown

Jacob Sandusky, of Shelbyville, Ky., has been visiting H. C. Musselman during the past week.  Mr. Sandusky is eighty-seven years old, but preserves his health and mental facilities to a reasonable extent.  He relates having passed through Williamstown on a bear hunt 71 years ago.  At this time there was only one house in Williamstown, and it was a “doggery” and all the surrounding country for miles and miles was trackless and unbroken forest.  Bear were plentiful and all the larger species of game could be found close to the town.  Seventy-one years have wrought a wonderful change in this part of the world.
