Post Office Terre Cotta
Pride of the postoffice in Williamstown., Ky., Grant County seat not far south of Cincinnati is a new terra cotta relief by Romauld Kraus, Cincinnati sculptor, who teaches at Louisville’s Art Center once a week. A Treasury Department project, the sculpture is the very essence of simplicity, both in subject and in treatment. A pioneer manna woman, a cabin, some ears of corn and leaves of tobacco were sufficient for decorative piece that would symbolize Kentucky.
