Kentucky Black Cake

Two pounds of raisins, two pounds of currants, one pound of citron cut fine, one dozen eggs beaten separately, one pound of dark brown sugar, one pound of butter, creamed, one tablespoonful of allspice, one teaspoonful of cloves, one goblet of brandy, grated nutmeg; flavor fruit separately, one pound of sifted flour, and one teaspoonful of baking powder.
