Mahan
A friend of ours, just arrived from Mason county, Ky., informs is that Mahan, (of Ohio) tried in that county for abducting slaves, had been acquitted. Several very interesting and important legal questions were argued and decided in the course of the trial, which we hope will be fully reported. He was defended by Col. Chambers, of Washington, and by Mr. Vaughn, of this city [Brookville, Indiana].
