One Man's Opinion
On a recent visit to Washington, we noticed that there are cross streets named "B" Street, and "D" Street and "E" Street.
And we thought, what a shame this poor little town doesn't have anyone or anything in its past that was worthy of having a street named for them. No famous books inspired here, no famous Civil War Generals, no famous judges, no notable firsts. . .
Seriously folks, you can't swing a dead cat in Washington without hitting something seriously historic.
If you've got more history per square foot than any other town in Kentucky, maybe all of America, a reading of your street names shouldn't sound like an outtake from Sesame Street.
