Walter E. “Spike” Thomas (pictured) worked in Lewis Bennett’s pharmacy, which was located in the building which is the First Farmer’s Bank in Owenton before starting pharmacy school, In 1939, John H. Morgan and Spike Thomas partnered to open Morgan and Thomas Drug Store.
