Lowdenback in 1860 and located three miles east of the Kentucky River, in the southwestern part of Owen County, 6 miles from Owenton, the county seat, 18 miles from Sparta Station, on the L. C. & L. R. R. , its nearest shipping point, and 83 miles from Louisville. Its exports are tobacco, hogs and cattle. Population 100. Mail four times per week. W. H. Lowdenback, postmaster.
