Bad Accident
One of the most disturbing accidents that could befall any community has put Sweet Owen, in Owen county, in mourning. On Tuesday, the saw mill known as Denny Mill, operated by Mr. Lyons, blew up. Bunch Lyons, the engineer, was blown to atoms, his mangled remains scattered over a quarter of an acre of ground. Jas. Lynn was mortally wounded, and his right leg had to be amputated at the hip joint. Quite a number of other persons were more or less seriously injured. The mill was operated by an old engine and boiler, and let go when at high pressure.
