Attendance of 10,000 Expected

Owenton, Ky., Nov. 7 - An attendance of approximately 10,000 persons is expected tomorrow at the Taft Highway celebration here and at Dry Ridge, marking the completion of improvements to a thirteen mile section of the road in Grant and Owen Counties.

Delegations from Michigan and Ohio are to attend.  The Frankfort High School band of forty-five pieces will play.  A huge motorcade will form a Covington, with delegates from the Covington and Cincinnati automobile clubs.

Sgt. Alvin York, of Tennessee, World War hero, will be one of the speakers.  Burgoo will be prepared by Jim Looney, Lexington “burgoo king.”
