Our Pike, under the management of W. G. Gray, the contractor, is being rapidly built.  The Middleton Bros. have the contract for putting the metal on the road, and it iis well done.

A. P. Ashcraft and J. J. Clark have sold their property and are preparing to go to Kingman, County, Kansas, about the first of January, 1884.  The community loses two good citizens in their departure.

Fred Rohrs, hotel-keeper, after eight years of service, has concluded to buy a farm and retire to a more quiet life.
