The Sadie Rieman House was built in Hebron in 1900. Sadie was born in Indiana. Around 1910, she moved to Boone County where she lived for several decades. She loved education and taught for over 50 years. Majority of that time was teaching in Hebron schools.

At her retirement in 1956, Sadie was surprised with a celebration hosted by 200 friends and former students. Memories were shared of Ms. Rieman including how she started teaching all eight grades in a one-room schoolhouse in Francisville. Sadie brought in a phonograph and introduced her students to the music of the times and later on did rhythmic exercises. Sadie passed away in 1979 at the age of 94. The house has since been torn down.
