Jim McPhail tells us: “I believe the house on the left, built for Christopher Ladenberger in 1866, was the first house in Bellevue. It was part of the Original Plat (or plan) of the town. The gas pumps of UDF would stretch across this view. Here [prior page] is an overlay of a current satellite view over an 1883 map. The red circle is the location of Ladenberger's house.”
