Leo Murphy

Leo Murphy (American, 1906-1980), painter. Murphy studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy and was a member of the Cincinnati Association of Professional Artists. He exhibited throughout the 1930s-40s at the Cincinnati Art Museum, Golden Gate Expo (San Francisco, 1939), and the World’s Fair New York (1939). He was a WPA artist and became known for the murals he painted in Greenhills and around the city.
