The “x” [near the base of the utility pole] is Arvin's back gate where they did live. The house faced front. You ought of bin heare it was some sight to behold. Lots of People suffered down near Licking river in west end. The watter was almost in second storry. We took a boat ride on Monmouth, 2nd & York St. We had lots of fun out of it but was worried to for fear we might have to move. The river is down in her banks again but it is raining today. We are a little worried for fear it comes up again. You bet the high watters wont catch us next spring if I can find a house to move into. Ella” |
