The school building below, erected in 1890, was replaced by the school building above. The election to appropriate the money to do it was held on March 4, 1922. It was snowing that day. Out of an estimated voting populace of 750-800, the matter passed 398 to 99. That's two-thirds voter turnout, in the snow, to support education. |
