David Schoeder published a history of Lewisburg Chester Geaslen has written a history of Lewisburg
"Lewisburg is fast building up, and everything out there has a brisk, business-like appearance, notwithstanding the sea of mud in Lexington Pike between there and Madison Pike" - from Covington's The Ticket, December 23, 1875.

"The work of constructing a new turnpike from Anderson's Ferry, on Ohio River, to Amsterdam,
Lewisburg, was let Friday by the Kenton Fiscal Court." Kentucky Post, June 25, 1898
